Pre-folded underwear elastic comes already permanently folded in half, forming a pocket in the middle. Typically used in making inner wear - to enclose raw edges such as at the waist and leg opening of undies, or the upper edge of bralette cups. These are thin - less than 1mm thick. Not suitable for applications such as elastic-waisted pants or skirts. To preserve the life of anything with elastic,avoid washing at high temperatures or tumble drying.
This elastic has a tiny decorative picot edge on the folded side. The Purpleish white colour looks like bleach white in some lights and a very pale lavender in others, thus the name.
