Stretch ponte fabric in a tiny houndstooth check composed of black, silver grey and light brown yarns, primarily polyester and tencel with a touch of elastane.  Ponte is a double knit fabric that is relatively more stable and retains its shape better than most knits while still having good stretch (usually the "firm" type of stretch).  It is a stable fabric with cut edges that lie perfectly smooth and flat (easier for cutting).  This ponte has good drape and moderate structure, and is fully opaque.  It is scratchy and can be worn against the skin.  Suitable for fitted or wide-legged pants, shorts, knit blazers, dresses such as sheath or pinafore dresses, skirts, or you could also make a boxy top.  More suitable for cooler conditions such as air-conditioned rooms, unless you are making a pair of shorts.
