Foldover elastic has a line scored lengthwise down the middle, so it folds over neatly and easily. Typically used in making inner wear - to enclose raw edges such as at the waist and leg opening of undies, or the upper edge of bralette cups. These are thin - less than 1mm thick, with the narrower ones (14mm, 15mm) being thinner than the wider ones. Not suitable for applications such as elastic-waisted pants or skirts. To preserve the life of anything with elastic, avoid washing at high temperatures or tumble drying.
