Lightweight pure ramie voile fabric with very fine yarns, jet black, with a natural, understated sheen to it. Smooth and somewhat crisp to the touch. Has the characteristic airy-ness of ramie as compared to linen, although it sews up easily, much like linen. Has some body and a nice drape. Well-suited to embroidery. Could be used as a lining fabric or for clothing such as floaty tops, blouses, tunics and dresses, or crafts such as Korean pojagi patchwork. Designers such as Chloe and Zimmerman in particular seem to use alot of ramie (link for some inspiration pics).
