Jet-black ramie/cotton blend crinkled voile. The crinkles run lengthwise like tree bark, and are permanent - they will not straighten out even after washing. When this fabric is stretched out, it weighs only 55gsm - almost as thin as silk stockings. This ramie feels sturdier and more structured than cotton gauze. Not scratchy at all - the yarns are very fine. Translucent if worn alone. Suitable for tops, shirts and blouses, even dresses or maybe floaty pants (with lining), and scraps would work well for crafts such as dolls' clothes.
