70gsm embroidered striped voile, last 1.3m

This is a very lightweight pure cotton voile fabric with yarn-dyed stripes woven of grey melange and off-white yarns, which was then embroidered with a floral border design in cream-coloured cotton. The embroidered design runs along both selvedges and is about 22cm tall. The selvedges themselves have been cut and embroidered over with scalloped eyelet edging (i.e. they are no longer straight lines, but are scalloped). Fabric is meant to be cut cross-grain, so the scalloped selvedges can be used as sleeve cuffs or garment hems. The yarns are fine and the fabric is very soft and smooth to touch. Translucent, has fairly good drape. Suitable for clothing such as tops, blouses, tunics and children's wear, it can also be paired with another fabric. Hand-wash or wash in a laundry bag to protect the fabric.
