Pure ramie plain weave fabric with very fine yarns, similar to a crisp voile or batiste, in a dusty dark purple colour with a very slight lustre. This fabric has soft, floaty drape with lots of movement and body to it. Fairly smooth with a slightly dry hand-feel and some of the typical "crunchy" or hard texture of ramie. It is somewhat translucent and a lining or inner cami may be needed. Although it looks very gauzy, it is stronger than an equivalent weight of cotton and most resembles silk organza. Suitable for organza-like shell tops and over-jackets, floaty shirts, tunics, blouses, dresses or wide-legged pants with lining, as a translucent accent paired with other fabrics, or it can also be used as a lining fabric.
