257gsm black fringed cotton linen, by metre

An unusual cotton/linen blend fabric with woven lines of fringe running down the length of the fabric, parallel to the selvedge.  In-between each pair of fringed lines is a very discreet jacquard design that reminds me of celtic knots.  The base fabric is not super thick as most of the weight comes from the fringe.  Base fabric has a typical, dry-feeling cotton/linen blend texture with slightly larger weft yarns that produce a subtle corded effect running from selvedge to selvedge across the fabric (similar to poplin).  Colour is a very matte black and the fabric is opaque, with moderate drape.  The reverse is smooth and comfortable against the skin.  Designer deadstock.  Suitable for clothing such as tops, thicker blouses and shirts, dresses, bottoms, lightweight outerwear, kids wear or some accessories, crafts and home decor items.
