The flowers in this unusual, detailed print really look as if they were embroidered on, especially as the base fabric has a distinct slubby textured. This print has rich shades of red, golden yellow, green and dark ultramarine, on a warm black base (the large yellow flowers are a bit more more orangey in real life than in the photos). The base fabric is a bit unusual too, I believe it is a linen/rayon stretch blend with a woven criss-cross texture and slightly thicker yarns. Comfortable on the skin, has good drape and a bit of structure to it. I think this would be perfect for a cheongsam or pants, it could also be used for sleeveless and short-sleeved tops, dresses, skirts, shorts and children' wear. You could even use it for home decor such as light cushion covers.
