Viscose/ nylon/ elastane blend bengaline fabric (mainly viscose) in a fully opaque, deep, dark navy blue (almost blue-black). Fabric is very soft and smooth with a matte feel, and is comfortable against the skin. It has plenty of structure with only slight drape. Feels substantial in the hand despite the moderate GSM weight. Great for stretchy fitted pants, fitted skirts, dresses and blazers, especially smart casual or business casual styles.
This is a new fabric type for the shop. It is probably as close to a stretchy knit as you can get with a woven fabric! It also stretches with the grain/ in the length-wise direction, and is meant to be cut across the grain. There are patterns specifically designed for bengaline, such as the Style Arc Barb pant and their other stretch woven styles, which could be a useful reference.
