196gsm greige linen, by metre

Pre-softened pure linen plain weave fabric dyed a greige colour (greyish beige - very close to the natural colour of unbleached linen), with thicker than average yarns.  It is soft for linen and quite dry to the touch, with a slightly waxy-feeling finishing treatment which should wash out over time.  Has some body and good drape.  Slightly translucent - the weave may tighten up with washing.  Suitable for clothing such as tops, blouses and shirts, or homewares such as kitchen towels.
