This interesting plain weave fabric is likely a ramie/ lyocell blend, possibly with some cotton in it as well. The colour is a soft black, or black with a touch of dusty navy, and it has a lovely translucency to it. The fabric is woven of fine yarns and has a slightly dry, textured hand feel that is comfortable against the skin. It has a fair amount of structure and stiffness, though the handle may soften after washing. Has some light drape and body, and is slightly cool to the touch. Suitable as a lining for structured outerwear, as a lightweight but strong pocket fabric, for voluminous blouses, tops, a translucent over-shirt, etc. It is much more wrinkle-resistant compared to a pure ramie.
