108gsm grey reversible double gauze, by metre

Cotton/bamboo blend yarn dyed double gauze fabric featuring a reversible woven grey/off-white stripe on one side and dark green, blue-black and black plaid design on the other. The plaid side doesn't show through on the striped side, but the striped side does show through on the plaid side (hope that makes sense!) The fabric is almost opaque on the skin. This fabric is very fine-textured, silky-smooth, soft, very comfortable on the skin and slightly cool to the touch, with a very good drape. Unlike most double gauzes, the two light layers are not fully stitched together - about 15-20cm of each selvedge is attached together, and the two layers are not connected at all down the middle. I'm not sure why this is the case, to be honest (in any case, the last two photos show the two layers separately over my hand, for reference.) Suitable for clothing such as tops, blouses,tunics, pajamas, and baby/ children's wear, scarves, or crafts such as backing for quilts, etc.
