101gsm two-tone linen cotton, by metre

This is a linen/cotton blend yarn dyed fabric (more linen less cotton) with a slightly loose weave, in contrasting colours of navy blue and natural linen beige. Yarn dyed fabrics woven of contrasting yarns can look a slightly different colour when viewed from different angles. Though the weave is slightly loose, similar to gauze, it is stable and doesn't snag or go out of shape easily. Fabric is purposely woven this way to create a translucent, somewhat airy effect, even with the rustic yarns of varying thickness - an interesting contrast! Can be self-lined for a more opaque look. Has drape and a bit of body to it, and is comfortable to the touch with a dry hand-feel. Suitable for clothing such as tops, blouses, tunics, scarves and shawls.
